Communications Analyst

I was born in a small city on the outskirts of Sudan and grew up in a close-knit Sudanese Eritrean community. At the age of eight, I moved to the United States, where I began shaping a new identity while learning English as my third language. My multicultural background has shaped how I see the world and inspired my appreciation for communication, connection, and the power of storytelling. I graduated from SUNY Buffalo State University in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in marketing. I chose a career in marketing and communications because I’m fascinated by how people connect with ideas, brands, and each other. I love the creativity and strategy that goes into crafting meaningful messages and helping organizations build authentic relationships with their audiences. During my time in school, I strengthened my skills through courses in marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and digital media, as well as hands-on experience managing social media campaigns and researching brand development. These experiences helped me discover how communication can influence perception and drive positive change. As a Communications Analyst at Avid Core, I hope to deepen my understanding of inclusive and community-centered communication. I’m excited to learn from the team, grow my skills in outreach and storytelling, and contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact.
