I’ve always been interested in how research and evidence can drive better decisions. I spent more than a decade at the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences (IES), where I oversaw large education research and technical assistance portfolios and worked closely with researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. My work focused on ensuring that research was not only rigorous, but also accessible and useful for the people making decisions in real-world education settings. I’m especially drawn to the challenge of translating complex information into clear, actionable insights and helping organizations strengthen how they communicate and use evidence. At Avid Core, I’m excited to support projects that require strong collaboration, thoughtful engagement, and a deep understanding of how federal programs operate. Outside of work, I enjoy creating a comfortable home space, spending time with family and friends, and staying active—whether that’s getting in a good workout or just taking time to reset and recharge.
