Growing up in the Bronx, New York, with my parents and three siblings, curiosity was encouraged from an early age. We had a large leather-bound Webster’s dictionary, a complete set of encyclopedias, and a collection of books that seemed to hold the answer to almost any question. Whenever I asked my late father a question he thought I could have discovered on my own, his response was often, “Have you tried to find the answer yourself?” That simple question taught me the value of learning, research, and self-discovery, and it sparked a lifelong love of learning that continues today. My parents also made sure we experienced life beyond our neighborhood through museums, art exhibits, travel, and new experiences. Those opportunities broadened my perspective and taught me the importance of seeing the world through different lenses. I began my career at Yahoo! HotJobs in New York City during a transformative period when the internet was reshaping how people connected, communicated, and worked. Being at the intersection of technology and innovation sparked a lasting interest in digital communications and emerging technologies that have carried throughout my career. Today, as Senior Manager of Communications at Avid Core, I support strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and public sector initiatives. I hold an MBA in Digital Entrepreneurship and remain passionate about helping organizations communicate clearly, connect with their audiences, and achieve meaningful results. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading dystopian, horror, fantasy books, lifelong learning, and taking walks with Pluto, my Goldendoodle.
