Communications Specialist

I found my way into communications through history. Studying history at Virginia Commonwealth University taught me how to navigate conflicting sources, judge what holds up, organize information, and then share it in a way an audience can follow. I honed those skills over five years with the Smithsonian Institution’s Asian Cultural History Program, first as a researcher and program assistant and later as program manager. During my time there, I managed a program built on making specialized scholarship accessible to the public and administered State Department grants. This work involved communicating critical information to multiple stakeholders, analyzing complex data, and meeting project goals on tight deadlines. As a Communications Specialist at Avid Core, I bring that same mix of analysis, organization, and clear writing to my clients’ work. I live in Washington, D.C. with my fiancée and our puppy, Gus. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and following basketball and football.
